Automatic and efficient control of burners firing boilers to match boiler outputs according to overall system demand. Thus, the well proven Hamworthy Combustion Sequence Control System can provide plant operational improvements as well as energy and labour cost savings:
-
By optimum and responsive loading of boilers
-
By avoiding costly operating staff monitoring and responding to load changes
-
By use of a purpose built sequence controller for multiple steam boiler applications utilising modulating burners
-
The Hamworthy Combustion Sequence 2000 provides automatic control of boilers in response to fluctuating daily and seasonal steam requirements
A 4-20mA master header pressure signal is fed to a proportional, integral and derivative (PID) Control algorithm within the sequence control panel which determines burner firing rates to maintain header pressure at the selected point.
Local boiler pressure transmitters enable boiler top-up control to ensure boilers are maintained ready for sequencing.
Burner/boiler control panels are fitted with interface controls and a switch to enable sequence/local control.
Different burner configurations can be accommodated.
