RETRACTING INPUT POWER CORD
The unit is designed with a cord-locking ratchet that will hold the cord at any length, and releases easily for take up. The case is light-gauge steel with an epoxy finish. Reel diameter is 91/4". The cord
is 30 Feet of black SJEOOW 300 VAC Service Cord 16/3AWG, 0.34" OD with a cold temperature rating of -50C.
GROUNDING REEL
The grounding reel has 3/32" diameter cable. A locking mechanism holds the cable at any desired length
and releases instantly with a light tug. A spring return automatically retrieves the cable; an adjustable ball
stop keeps the cable end within reach.
STORAGE SHEATH
The assembly comes configured to allow the igniter and base rod assembly to be held in place for easy
transportation. The Exciter Input cord is also easily wound around an arm assembly for easy transportation.
ROD HANDLE
The rod connector includes a removable non-metallic handle grip.
INCREASED SAFETY
The flexible harness connecting the exciter to the rod has PVC insulation AND the discharge path is isolated from frame. In addition, the harness includes an internal braided shield. This approach minimizes current flow through the input ground reference.
TWIST TO LOCK
A simple locking mechanism allows the operator to insert the rod vertically and twist to lock into position. The operator can then return to the cart to press the momentary ON/OFF switch to operate the exciter. The locking mechanism is easily adapted to different port sizes and allows adjustment of rod insertion depth.
