The Hamworthy Combustion Institute

Hamworthy Combustion Engineering has been fully committed to providing technical training since 1948, resulting in 'The Hamworthy Combustion Institute' being officially opened in September 2008.

Types of Technical Training Courses

The Hamworthy Combustion Institute offers two types of training programs:

 - Generic Technical Training - These are structured training courses, which are bookable on a per-person basis and delivered in Poole, Dorset, UK

 - Bespoke Technical Training - These are researched and constructed to customer requirements, or to a contractual agreement.  Bespoke  technical training courses can be delivered at 'The Hamworthy Combustion Institute' in Poole, Dorset, UK, or at a preferred site worldwide

Both types of training are offered across Hamworthy Combustions six product sectors:

Industrial
Power
Refinery, petrochemical
Marine
Incineration
Flares

Our primary focus, is to deliver extensive, hands on technical training.

We aim for a 60 / 40% practical training experience, with all training courses being designed and constructed to strict accreditation standards.  Each training course concludes with an exam and from these results, delegates are issued with a certificate of attendance and understanding.

Hamworthy Combustion Institutes Facilities

The Training Institute comprises of:

Three modern and fully equipped training rooms, all fitted with air conditioning, with the largest room seating up to a maximum of 70 persons.

A technical workshop housing:

A full range of Hamworthy Combustion Burners (for use in disassembling and reassembling), boilers, gas-trains, control panels, control simulators and igniters

 Test Rig Pic 6 A customer care centre, which is recognized as one of the largest and most comprehensive test rigs in the world, with 16 furnaces, ranging from fire stacks to ethylene cracking up to 100MW.
All 16 furnaces are used for research, development and training purposes.
