Hamworthy Combustion’s R&D capabilities are world-leading.  Through our Combustion Technology Centre at Poole, UK we provide customers with one of the best combustion test facilities in the world to develop in the UK and pre-test their products for technical and commercial success.

The global drivers in combustion R&D today are lower emission levels, higher burn efficiencies, assured legislative compliance and absolute safety.  Against this backdrop, we offer proven and cost-effective R&D solutions to customers’ specific requirements.

Our Centre comprises 16 Test Rigs capable of operating with different combinations of fuel systems and measuring all emission types.  We offer CFD expertise, dynamic air and water analogue flow testing, air distribution modelling, photographic, thermographic and Laser Phase Doppler Anemometry techniques.

The Centre boasts a dedicated team of experienced Combustion, Chemical, Mechanical and Controls Engineers.  It includes a dedicated Design Office and extensive Fitting Shop.
